Learn the basics of sewing by getting to know your machine and doing basic sewing exercises. Each student will be given a PDF booklet full of sewing tips and helpful diagrams to make sewing a breeze!
- Get to know your Machine: Threading, winding a bobbin, stitch length and width, as well as trouble shooting.
- Basics about Fabric: Types of fabrics and what projects they are typically used for.
- Sewing Exercises: Following a straight line, curve and zig-zag. Basic seam finishes.
Don't want to bring your sewing machine? No problem! You will be able to rent one of ours. (select the machine at the drop down below).
All non-promotional fabric and notions purchased from Fabric Hut for the class will be 10% off.
Upon enrolling, students will receive a class outline, supply list, yardage requirement sheet, and work sheet via email. Please print them out and bring them with you. If you cannot print them out, copies will be available during class upon request.
There is a 12 student maximum for the class.
