In 1967, James Cason Jarvis (known as JC) retired from the Navy
after serving three wars: World War II, Korea and Vietnam. JC
always liked stylish clothing and the feel of fabrics - as such in
1967 Fabric Hut was discovered, and thereafter JC was referred as
a fellow "Man Of The Cloth!"
JC opened the original 1500 square foot
Fabric Hut location on Princess Anne Road in Norfolk, Virginia.
After more than 50 years and several relocations, Fabric Hut is
now one of the largest fabric retailers in the nation at 40
thousand square feet. JC is proud to claim that his business has
developed into a Hampton Roads Icon with worldwide exposure.
His dedication until retirement, JC was always seeking to offer
the most unique fabrics in Tidewater Virginia.
Fabric Hut is still family owned - dedicated to providing the
finest fabrics with value pricing. Customer service has always
been JC's number one priority and he truly loved serving his
August 10, 2018 JC Jarvis will be 90!
